OMBAC Water Polo Wins Again!

Moraga, CA - June 5 - The 2011 Masters Nationals Championships concluded today at various sites across the East Bay with several of the Gold Medal matches taking place at the SODA Aquatic Center in Moraga, California. Over 75 teams competed in the three day tourney bringing together many of the best water polo athletes in a variety of age groups in both genders.
Here are the top three finishers in each age group:

Mesa One-Day Tournament - March 27th
We have two teams entered in a 1-day tournament this Sunday, March 27th. The tournament will be held at Mesa Community College with 6 minute quarters and 1 time-out per game. All OMBAC members and welcome and encouraged to attend.

Arizona Desert Duel, April 1 - 3
Arizona is right around the corner so we need to know if you plan on attending this tournament IMMEDIATELY so we can enter the appropriate amount of teams and book the correct number of rooms.
The tournment takes place in Tempe at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center at ASU. We're staying at the host hotel:
Four Points by Sheraton Tempe
1333 Rural Road, Tempe, AZ 85821

This is the same hotel we stayed in last year. The staff was great and they gave us shuttle rides to the airport, pool and bars. We currently have a block of rooms with 2 double beds on hold for $95/night. If you fit four in a room its fairly cheap.
For travel arrangements, please try to arrive in Tempe by 4pm Friday and stay until 5pm Sunday. The FINAL matches will be held at 4pm on Sunday! You are welcome to drive or fly. Some of us have already booked flights on Southwest Airlines:
April 1st Flt 1179 Depart SAN DIEGO CA at 12:20 PM
Arrive in PHOENIX AZ at 1:30 PM
April 3rd Flt 28 Depart PHOENIX AZ at 4:45 PM
Arrive in SAN DIEGO CA at 5:50 PM

OMBAC SOCIAL - FLIP CUP TOURNAMENT Feb 26th at 8pm
Hey Ladies,
Our first social/fundraiser of the year is this Saturday at 8pm at The Local in downtown. What we need from you:
- Word of Mouth: Tell your friends, spread the word. The more teams
entered the more $ we make.
- Volunteers: We actually work the tournament, but it's not work-work,
it's fun-work. We need people to volunteer to be referees, beer
runners and score keepers.
- General Attendance and Good Cheer: I'd like to know what you look
like without a cap on! Come on down and join the fun!
